    That's one reason I especially admire politicians who were pro-suffrage at this point and also connected to immigrant/labor politics, like Cleveland's Robert Crosser, Chicago's Adolph Sabath (who, iirc one article, was vocally hesitant about suffrage but supported it), or Wilkes-Barre's John Casey.
