    within the working class, in working class neighborhoods like the one I live in. Everyone is friendly here.

    But when I was a kid and we moved from the farm to the inner city, well, the neighborhood was integrated, but the adults would not mingle.

    Us kids did manage to play together tho.

      integrated is when it shifted to from interacial upper middle class relationships to more integration in the working class.

        but i was born in 1947.  i have lived in this category of one all of my life.

        even both sides of my family treated me differently.

        i wasn't quite either and my father was not liked for good reason on either side.

        add to that that i had two half siblings who were not mixed.
