    fit.

The US shouldn't have invaded Iraq based on a lie. This illegal and immoral invasion that killed hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis and destroyed the lives of millions more ended up creating more 'terrorists' than existed before. The American soldiers who were sent to die there now realize the truth.

The people making millions of bombs and dropping them in every fucking corner of the world has been the US government in their never ending quest to make the world safe for American style neoliberal corporate capitalism - called the Washington Consensus. Every single intervention and war since WWII has had at it's very root corporaste greed. The raping and pillaging of foreign nations is one of the ways the US became so rich.

These corporations no longer fly any flag and they are starting to consume their own...

Bon appétit. What goes around comes around. YOU are now the enemy.

The USG has taken pains to know as much about my phone calls as Verizon knows, and neither one of them has hurt me much.

        Yet.

Are you OK with the direction the US is currently headed? I hope so because if you are not the state will have ways and means of dealing with you should you desire to object. All you will have to do is bring your cell phone with you to a protest or be scanned by one of thousands of cameras. Once this is put into a computer, the state will know every person you have had a conversation with - including right here in DKos.

        •  You're trying hard to scare yourself. (0+ / 0-)

What is it the state can do to me that it can't already do?

          Nothing.

Fact is, the headlines show that the least of my worries is being persecuted with my metadata.
