McConnell has nothing to gain by folding, and a lot to lose in next years election.  If Harry calls for a vote and loses, the situation stays the same, and we have primary targets.

My guess based on past performance is that Harry will fold to keep the illusion of his 'strong'  leadership.

      Just executive branch nominations?

It will give the GOP all the more reason to filibuster judicial nominations.

The highest form of spiritual practice is self observation with compassion.

either they end or severely restrict the filibusters for everything, including bills and judicial nominations, or we're just looking at total obstruction in those areas, as opposed to almost total obstruction.
There's a crisis in the judiciary, even John Roberts has said that the obstruction and delays need to stop.  You think the Repubs are gonna stop blocking nominees to the DC Circuit, which usually has the final word on new regulations, after they've been rolled on the NLRB and CFPB?  Of course not.
It's all or nothing as far as I'm concerned.
