My wife loved Wolf Lake, a supernatural soap set in a small town with a furry secret.  An out-of-state lawman takes a job as deputy in the town in order to find his wife who came from it and who has disappeared.  He thinks that there's some kind of cult in the town which has kidnapped her.  The truth is that she, along with about half the town, is a werewolf, and the deputy finds himself surrounded by intrigues and power struggles between the various members of the wolf pack.

My favorite character was laid-back older wolf played by Graham Greene who is sometimes a dispenser of wisdom, sometimes a trickster, but always a hoot.

Alas, the show was cancelled after only a few episodes and replaced with a series of Garth Brooks concerts on aircraft carriers.  The unaired episodes were later shown on Sci-Fi Channel.
