  •  Let's not forget Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. (6+ / 0-)

IMHO this is one of the funniest series ever on television. It is an Aaron Sorkin offering so you know it is good. The dialogue is intelligent and timely. The two episodes where John Goodman played a local judge in Pharump, Nevada hearing Jesus' bail appeal is an absolute classic although no episode is less than really excellent and many others rise to the "classic" level. Anyone who knows the series and  hears mention of "the snake and coyote under the stage" will get an automatic laugh remembering how convulsively hilarious it was when first watched.
