    Our White household has been consumed by this tragic situation. We keep going over and over it, not being able to understand how it is possible for a man with a gun to hunt down and kill an unarmed teen and then not only go free but have legions of people repeat one of the many version of the mutually self-contradictory, self-serving tale told by the perpetrator as if it was an iron clad fact.

    My husband wrote on his Facebook page a post that began with "If I had a son he would not look like Trayvon, but that doesn't mitigate my sadness at the injustice." I wish I could tell you of all the "likes" he got but only two people "liked" it so I guess the distraught we feel is not universal.
