      appointments won't last beyond Obama's presidency.  It's a less important use of the filibuster.  Good on Russ Feingold for refusing to do it even with Bush's bad executive nominations.  He helped keep a narrow scope for using the filibuster.

      As you point out, the judiciary is another ball game.
