Forget for a minute that this would require a change to the constitution because the Constitution grants the ability to restrict the liberty of a citizen to a judge and a military commander.  Forget that.

1 - The military takes sexual assaults seriously now.

2 - more than HALF of the 26000 anonymous reports were male on male.

3 - this EXTREMELY sharp rise in male on male complaints coincides with lifting DADT.

4 - there is every reason to believe that the vast majority of those complaints are retaliation/retribution for lifting DADT.

Those opposed to gays in the military want to paint a picture of gays suddenly free to rape all those poor straights and they are doing it by making ANONYMOUS complaints that by regulation cannot be further investigated.  BY REGULATION.  Everyone knows this because you cant make an anonymous report without specifically acknowledging that no action will be taken.  And the other side of the coin is that no action can be taken for FALSE anonymous reports, unlike formal ones where false reports can be punished.

Liberals are being played on this.  They are taking what is in fact an anti gay lie and turning it into a military problem.  And conservatives are laughing.

It is well that war is so terrible -- lest we should grow too fond of it. Robert E. Lee
