The CFPB hasn't just been sitting around twiddling its collective thumbs while waiting for a permanent director. So far, "CFPB enforcement actions have resulted in $425 million in refunds to approximately 6 million consumers who were subject to deceptive financial practices"
So after all the hoopla, CFPB's efforts resulted in $70.83 refund to (on average) 6 million consumers.   This feels to me like a very small amount. Were the offending companies also fined?

don't always believe what you think
