  •  We have no idea yet...if ever...how the propaganda (6+ / 0-)

programs will be implemented here, as well as what they will focus on, as has been suggested earlier in the comments.

My assumption is that much of the effort will meld with already compromised mainstream/traditional media outlets in order to further corrupt what is left of a degree of objectivity about those issues the government proritizes at any given time.

They may have one or more clearly defined outlets, but I doubt that it will stop there.

Perhaps they see unregulated capitalism and the support for MIC/empire budget allocations at the expense of social programs and other demands, such as significantly addressing global warming and others, as a risk that must be tackled.  I'm sure that they're very aware of the majority opinion in opposition to the direction that the government has been moving, or not moving much at all, as the individual case may be.

And the outlets are quite clearly defined. Primarily Voice of America, Radio Free Europe, Radio Free Asia, etc.

        •  Except they *didn't* lift the ban (3+ / 0-)

          on domestic propaganda!
They only lifted the ban on US citizens having access to the information the State Dept. and BBG disseminate to other countries.
