Always get on a clean bus in case you get hit by underwear. I like being out there, it's better than being in here.

evidence to put Zimmerman on trial, the state of Florida as well as other states that have a SYG law must decide how many of it's citizens are they going to sacrifice to that law.
The state of Florida sacrificed Trayvon, that's one. That was a given.
But Zimmerman may be two. Did the state of Florida count on that outcome when it enacted that law?
Or is it more like the state of Florida is relying on the Feds to come in and do the dirty work that they are too chickenshit to do?
If Zimmerman is convicted of violating Trayvon's civil rights what will Florida's take on it be? Good, two for the price of one? Or will it be something too horrible to contemplate?

The ineptitude, incompetence, short-sightedness, and racism, is staggering. It's beyond To Kill a Mockingbird. The only thing good I can say about the state of Florida at this point is it surely doesn't mind showing it's ass for the world to see, over and over again.
It's a morally bankrupt failed state.
Who the fuck wants to fly all the way over to Africa, how do you even get a passport? Lets create Somalia over here, we got the beaches. If you build it, they will come. And we have Daytona.

      •  His defense (6+ / 0-)

was not based on SYG. His attorneys contended that Zimmerman was helpless on his back with Martin sitting on his chest. The defense was based on a standard, common law self defense argument, one that would be allowed even in a state with no SYG law on the books.

My question now is how does the judge include SYG in the instructions when it was not invoked, and how does she justify leaving out the part about an aggressor not being allowed to claim self defense?

The whole thing stinks to high heaven. Only in Florida...
