    Being PC isn't about being polite, it's about being minimally respectful of other people. In this case, it's about not using slurs about disabled people in order to toss off a casual insult.  "Asshole" or "dumbass" are crude, but are perfectly fine.  "Cripple" and "retarded" are in another category.

    I don't think it's HR-worthy, necessarily.  Those words are baked into our language pretty thoroughly, and it takes some positive effort to weed them out.  But it's worth noting, and I appreciate that it was here.
