    Contrary to the NRA rhetoric, the GZ case relied upon SYG.  SYG is in the jury instructions.  The prosectution fought to get the limits on SYG into the jury instructions, and lost.  The limit is - if GZ started the fight, he couldn't rely upon SYG.  That limit  was NOT in the jury instruction. The jury could not consider whether GZ could get away without killing. The jury had to assume it didn't matter if GZ could get away or not.  A KEY ISSUE.  SEE here, and the links in the introduction:
