  •  in order to believe Zimmerman is innocent (21+ / 0-)

one has to believe Fox & Frightwing radio LIES that Trayvon was a
    "thug", drug dealer, thief, etc.
Frightwing media has been creating that false narrative for a year - and Righties post it all the time.

    •  In Their World All Those Perjoratives Are (12+ / 0-)

      code-talk synonyms for "black."

    •  Here's the rub about that (13+ / 0-)

Let's just say for the sake of discussion that Trayvon was a thug, a dope head, a thief, etc.

      Still doesn't matter.

On that night, at that time, he went to a store, paid for some snacks and was peaceably walking home.  Zimmerman had no right to stalk him, confront him and then shoot and kill him for that.

Zimmerman had no way of knowing when he first saw him if Trayvon was a founding member of the Crips or the reincarnation of Gandhi.  So whatever Trayvon was or wasn't before that night is meaningless. All this talk about Trayvon's grades and what he posted on Facebook is just code talk for "see all black people are criminals in the making and therefore it's ok to kill them".

across the country to 50 mil and unless the jury was edited for RW radio listening or secondary influence it has an effect- not only in profiling trayvon but in excusing that sack of shit. and that's just added onto the racism.

and in enabling the governor-seeking prosecutor from jacksonville to throw the prosecution.

        it does matter.

because there is no written record.

they have the confidence to order the prosecutor who wants to be gov to throw it for zimmerman because they have 1200 radio stations at their back. doing the groundwork of the excuses and the swiftboating of those who would question the verdict from a position of prominence will be done on radio.

And unfortunately, judging by the votes on CNN's comments, too many people are buying into the bunkus.

Nothing Trayvon was accused of was anything worse than WHITE teens have gotten involved in.

Getting suspended from school? White teens too.
Saying misogynist things? White teens too.

The bottom line for me in this case was that Zimmerman left his car AGAINST THE ORDERS OF THE 9/11 OPERATOR.

Once he did that and started chasing Trayvon, Trayvon had a reasonable suspicion that Zimmerman meant him ill. We also only have Zimmerman's statements to show that he 'lost Trayvon' which considering the guy has been proven to be lying numerous times? He's not credible.

Last, what would a normal white man do if a hispanic man came up to him and was chasing him? Yes, if he couldn't get away, he would beat that hispanic man into the ground and would KEEP ON HAMMERING HIM until he was dead, especially if he realized that the hispanic man had a gun.

If Zimmerman did lose Trayvon, how did he find him and kill him?

You've got the best point - he left his car, in violation of the 911 operator's advice and, again, against advice, followed Trayvon.

It really didn't matter what Trayvon had done in his past, for that night, he was killed for a package of Skittles ...

    •  excuse me, but (0+ / 0-)

the Biggest lie, and very early on, was from NBC, who really stirred the pot on the race issue with their heinous editing of the 911 call.

and you seem to IGNORE the fact that none of the TM background of delinquency was allowed in the trial.  it was proven to the jury that Martin criminally attacked Zimmerman, that Martin would never have been shot if he hadn't been the aggressor

past either. Zim assaulted his finance, and assaulted a teen. He showed no remorse for murdering a kid.

We don't know who threw the first blow because the only witness was Zim.  Trayvon couldn't refute Zim's assertions because he was shot point blank in the heart.

I'm still unsure how he got his gun out from between him and the ground if he was being straddled by Trayvon. How did he find time if he was being pummeled by "25 hits"? Why was there only one bruise on his face?

I think Zim should be embarrassed. The only way he could win a fight against a kid was to shoot him.

Trayvon got suspended for being late for class and for writing WTF on a locker. For that it was justifiable to kill him?

it was proven to the jury that Martin criminally attacked Zimmerman

Sorry, we aren't that ignorant or stupid. Nothing of the sort happened, and the jury acquitted because of what they felt hadn't been proven ... the burden of proof being on the prosecution.

      •  Heinous editing? LOL! (0+ / 0-)

NBC left out one sentence, "Is he white, black or hispanic?" GZ is heard to say, "he looks black."  There is nothing about that in any rational mind that would describe such a statement as being racist.  GZ was simply giving a description to the dispatcher.  I didn't hear the dispatcher ask GZ about TM's demeanor but he had no problem describing him as "looks like he's up to no good, something's wrong with him, he's on drugs or something, I don't know what his deal is" all of which he offered without being prompted by the dispatcher.

There was also no proof offered to the jury that Trayvon Martin attacked GZ.  Considering GZ's overzealous, wannabe cop attitude who complained about how "these assholes always get away" while running after TM, it's far more likely that GZ tried to detain TM and that's why TM punched him.

Considering GZ claimed he had wrist control of TM and had the gun in his hand, he most certainly did not have to shoot TM.  Why did he never identify himself as NW?  Why didn't he warn TM that he had a gun and would use it if he did not stop doing whatever GZ allegedly claimed he was doing to him?  TM would have needed six arms to do everything that GZ claimed he did at the moment he shot him.

In order for someone to be considered the initial aggressor, they do not have to do anything physical.  GZ provoked TM by following him, profiling him and attempting to detain him because of his freakish paranoia.
