  •  This just makes me see red. (0+ / 0-)

I am so tired of this arrogant slur on attorneys who are really dedicated to prosecuting at the county and state level, often for their entire professional lives. I've seen this phrase thrown at prosecutors for years, and I'm sick of it.

What you say is just not true. Many of the best attorneys I know are prosecutors, and I work with many full-time defense attorneys and attorneys in the private bar.

It's as inaccurate as saying all public defenders are incompetent - another bromide that is thrown around pretty carelessly. Some of the best attorneys I've worked with have been public defenders who have an exhausting, and often thankless, job.

There are stellar prosecutors and defense attorneys, and abysmal ones - but please don't paint them all with such a broad brush - it's an insult to thousands of excellent attorneys who are working their butts off at their profession.

    •  I didn't say that. You chose to take offense. (0+ / 0-)

The private sector pays better and those who can take those jobs, do.

      Pretty simple, don't you think?

But I never used the magic word "Incompetent."  I would venture to say "Inexperienced."  Surely you know the difference?

Happy little moron, Lucky little man.
