well that's one version of the story.

    •  One version? (9+ / 0-)

Trayvon Martin was walking from point A (store) to point B (home).  He was not out burglarizing the neighborhood.  He was not stalking George Zimmerman.

George Zimmerman was out looking for trouble, and when he didn't find an actual burglar, decided that a boy walking with skittles and a drink was so suspicious that he just had to call the police on him, then stalk him, despite being told 'we don't need you to do that'.  Thus setting up a confrontation that ended with him shooting an unarmed minor.

Had he had the sense God gave a goose, his gun would have remained unfired that night, and he never would have even scratched his head.

    •  And what's the version you prefer? (9+ / 0-)

That the skinny kid (you know, the real 5'11", 158 lbls, Trayvon, not the made up RWNJ football-playing version) with the 13 inch neck lay in wait for the much heavier, older man who he knew had been following him (but who in this version wasn't following him any more on foot, but accidentally walked past where Travyon was lying in wait), assaulted him, pounded his head 25 times on a concrete sidewalk (thus exposing Zimmerman as a mutant superhero for having only a very few completely trivial injuries on his shaved scalp as a result instead of the hospitalization that would be required for anyone else assaulted in that way with a lethal sidewalk), and got shot only because Zimmerman, despite being essentially unhurt in any important way, saw Trayvon reaching for the gun hidden underneath Zimmerman (who was supposedly on the bottom at this point) and managed to get to it first. After which Travyon's body apparently teleported about 20 feet away to the grass where it was found, leaving no marks of the fight on the sidewalk where it was supposed to have happened. Is that the version you're going with?

Incidentally, you do know there weren't lots of eyewitnesses coming forward for those other murders Captain Frogbert mentioned earlier, right? It's a funny thing, but it seems murderers generally tend to avoid killing people while non-murderers are watching.

My country, right or wrong; if right, to be kept right; and if wrong, to be set right.

      •  There is NO WAY (3+ / 0-)

Zimmerman's injuries were consistent with his story. None. Zero. Zilch. As a paramedic, I've seen the outcomes of WAY too many fights to know he was lying when he described the fight. Even much lesser fights leave way more evidence than the wounds seen on Zimmerman.

So, if he's clearly lying about the fight, why should we trust one word he says about anything else?
