Lately I've been wondering about the properties of materials and  the modulus of elasticity for spacetime; whether when we read about it bending whether or not its possible to calculate its shear and moment and deflection.

Observing colliding galaxy clusters provides another useful way of understanding the nature of dark matter. When two clusters collide, the dark matter in one passes through the other unaffected; dark matter doesn't interact much with either itself or normal matter. But the normal matter in one cluster does interact with the dark matter and the normal matter in the other cluster, as well as with the dark matter in its own cluster. During the collision, the normal matter is dragged forward by the dark matter in its own cluster and dragged back by both the dark matter and normal matter in the other cluster. The net effect of the collision, therefore, is to cause the normal matter in each cluster to fall behind the dark matter in the same cluster.
I'm wondering if there is a dark space with a dark time that's a composite with dark energy and dark matter and whether there is an anti dark matter. Allowing that galactic lensing makes it possible to observe a little bit of bending in the presence of a lot of gravity, what would it take for space and time to have properties?
One explanation for dark energy is that it is a property of space. Albert Einstein was the first person to realize that empty space is not nothing. Space has amazing properties, many of which are just beginning to be understood. The first property that Einstein discovered is that it is possible for more space to come into existence. Then one version of Einstein's gravity theory, the version that contains a cosmological constant, makes a second prediction: "empty space" can possess its own energy. Because this energy is a property of space itself, it would not be diluted as space expands. As more space comes into existence, more of this energy-of-space would appear.
Non of that comes close to the complexities of the space time continuum of love.

to understand what your blockquotes mean...

      but it sounds cool, anyway.

I think I know what dark matter is, but dark energy? Not so much. And at almost 3 a.m., after a ten-hour shift, I'm unlikely to.
