    what they've earned already, but rather over what they could earn in the future.  The pensions are reasonably well funded, so the already-earned pensions should be safe.

    what will happen is that they won't accrue any additional benefit as they work.

      Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr;s mission -- and he choose happily and handsomely paid to accept it -- was to completely restructure or eliminate the long-term obligation of pension revenue to City of Detroit retirees by any means necessary.
