  •  Oh, and one more thing (6+ / 0-)

The attorney general of Dubai has called her for a meeting tomorrow (Monday) local time. There is some optimism that a solution may be found.
    Norwegian source:
Marte Dalelv møter statsadvokaten i Dubai

    - We have had dialogue with the Emirates throughout the weekend. We now have faith in finding a solution which is good for Marte, says head of communication Ragnhild Imerslund to NTB [A Norwegian Press Bureau].

      from the same link:

      My translation:
Senior researcher Anne Katrin Bang at the Christian Michelsen Institute [in Bergen] believes that the media attention is an advantage for Dalelv, reports Dagbladet [major tabloid].
      - They use enormous resources to make companies establish themselves in Dubai and to make tourists vacation there. I believe it is highly likely that diplomacy will work in this case. Through diplomatic talks the appeal may soon be before the court, and they are not well served with a copy of the original verdict/sentence there she says to the paper.
