to pass that sell out of a bill. It cost a full year of the most advantageous political period that I have seen perhaps in my entire adult lifetime.  Then a five year delay in implementing it.  And after five long years, they announced a further delay for companies to be required to provide insurance.  And now this.

I don't even know the status of things like community health care centers that Bernie Sanders fought for.

And Medicare and Medicaid are on the chopping block with the stupid zombie grand bargain that this president will not let go of.  It's still looming there.  Months of sequester cuts are supposed to soften everybody up.  In the Armed Services hearing I listened to, they acted like one day of furlough for federal employees was the end of the f'ing world.  They live in some alternate universe.  The defense cuts are so terrible that Lockheed Martin's profits were up last quarter.

I don't know if you've been in the DC area during the past decade, but it's positively booming. Construction all over the place, just booming.  Military brass have private planes and live in mansions, and that's probably very mild compared to what's going on with defense contractors.  Meanwhile, Rome burns.  It's just insanity.
