  •  I'm following with great interest Julian Assange's (6+ / 0-)

    candidature for Parliament in Australia

in the rather rarified circles in which I move, there's far more support for him than I would have hoped or expected

of course a lot of people who will vote for the Wikileaks Party will be casting a protest vote - Australia too has basically a two party system (Labor and the Liberal-National coalition) where it's hard to tell the difference between them... they're really both centrist with cosmetic differences to the left and the right.

We're shocked by a naked nipple, but not by naked aggression.

    •  Are you (5+ / 0-)

      down under, Lepanto?

I think it's interesting too.  I know there have been a lot of recent stories about the candidacy but have not read them yet.

Of course since you've mentioned Assange, Rei will be here in 3....2.....1..... to bash him.  Just a matter of time, though I've asked her not to visit here anymore after numerous attacks on my commenters, which doesn't fly here, ever.  Disagree, debate, all of that is great and encouraged. But attack my commenters and that's not cool. Only one rule rule, interact peacefully.  Peace is the only rule.  Remember that, Rei, when you swoop in from your admitted daily searches.
