  •  Thanks, cos (11+ / 0-)

I'll grab that Hudson piece for tomorrow.

The economic plans are the same ones he has been working on for years now.  Lower taxes, flatten the tax code, which are conservative wet dreams and have been for decades, and along with it comes "entitlement cuts". He'll be doing some serious spinning this summer in advance of the big budget bills and debt ceiling threats coming in just a couple of months.

Austerity is still the neoliberal-neocon plan.  They just have to lie harder and louder to keep going with it now.  Will the media see through it? Doubtful, but maybe, just maybe, more of them will report some more truth, given that at the same time they are requiring the media to toe the line they are also attacking them.

The McClatchy story is interesting for a lot of reasons.  This whistleblower shows what happens when there is some accountability.  So the cover ups are not just to cover for the higher ups who want to get away with murder and war crimes. If there is accountability, people start talking. The scapegoats protest. The whistleblowers come out of the woodwork.

    •  Good morning, Yep! (9+ / 0-)

Breaking through the noise corrupting the White House compound before the Grand Bargain is inked will take an "I'm mad as hell and won't take it anymore effort."

How about a new "Not one thin dime campaign."

As OPOL has written. "Wake Up!.

We can chew several flavors of gum at the same time; stop the NSA and Peterson's minions, too.

Not one thin dime in future for any congresscritter that supports cutting Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid or other social programs like SNAP.

Is this a Sunday morning fantasy?

Not really, we can do this.

      Not one thin dime
