People aren't going to blame a House member for sexual assaults in the military unless they have a smoking gun that he interfered with an investigation or covered something up. Romney won CA49 by 7 points and I don't see many Romney voters turning on Issa over the IRS investigation.

for sexual assaults. That would be a little ridiculous. Nor would this, by itself, if it hurt him in some way, would bring him down.

However, it's pretty clear, to anyone who pays attention, that he's a partisan hack. In fact, that much was clear a long time ago, but now he's practically begging us to yell this at him. Perhaps he's got superior retail skills or perhaps the district is just too red to knock him off short of a wave.

At the same time, it's a serious issue, or so I think, and it seems it'd be one way to put a dent in his image. I can't say specifically how women would react, but would it be surprising if they were disgusted by the fact that he was ignoring a real issue for political theater?
