I hope you're kidding.  I don't want another 4 years of Rick Scott.

Old comments I'm thinking this person is either delusional or a troll working for Rick Scott.

Also, we're nearly up to userID 1,000,000? Geez a lot of spambots/trolls have registered recently. When I made this current account just 5 months ago it was nearly 300,000 lower!

      •  I'm not entirely sure (5+ / 0-)

I get the sense that he/she could be sincere, since there definitely are people who think like FLprogressive out there. They have a view on politics that would make Aaron Sorkin look like Nate Silver. All this emphasis on sweeping emotion and awe-inspiring oratory, as if that actually matters in politics. Always there's the mention of Obama, as if that stuff made one damn bit of difference after the '08 primaries for Obama. He could have run the Dukakis playbook and won in 2008.

Inspiration is overrated. That's why I'm a staunch Crist backer. Guy has proven he can get votes. Proven he can win the state. Proven he has crossover appeal. Nobody's going to cry out of joy at his inauguration in 2014, but if he runs, it's a good bet he'll be having one.

        •  Personally I think Crist is whishy-washy (2+ / 0-)

With zero core beliefs.  That being said I'm on board with him running for Governor as a Democrat.  Hell, even the Republican version of Crist as Governor was miles better than Jeb or Rick Scott.  As Governor I'm sure Crist will annoy me on many things, but there doesn't seem to be a credible alternative with Nelson not getting in the race.  Some people seem to think a lesser known progressive could beat Scott.  No idea why they think that.  Approval ratings are misleading when Scott has almost limitless spending ability.

If we can make some gains in the legislature with Crist winning, which seems possible but certainly not likely, then we can turn to getting someone more liberal. Now, though, it seems our ranks are very thin, and we need to work on changing that.
