    twists whenever confronted with reality staring it in the face, yet it never goes away.

    Has it ever occurred to you that maybe, just maybe, the judge on the Manning case was being... well, the judge on the Manning case, nothing more?  Or is it incomprehensible that they're not part of a giant anti-whistleblowing freedom-hating crusade coordinated by president Obama, who telegraphs in to judges what he wants and doesn't want them to convict people on?

    So let's get this straight.  The government decided to charge him with aiding the enemy only to deliberately let him off the hook in order to make it easier to extradite Assange and Snowden?  So.... why charge him at all for it?  Why not, from the beginning, say, "the concept of an aiding the enemy charge was raised, and immediately dismissed; the US does not charge whistleblowers with capital crimes." ?
