    •  Fincher's district has the poorest county in TN (5+ / 0-)

Lake County, along the Mississippi opposite the MO Boot Heel has a poverty rate around 40%.  My mama's folks are from the Boot Heel and I can vouch for the poor conditions there.

He's from Crockett County, which is more affluent, so I'm sure he can use that money on his farm MUCH better than those silly poor folks...

But hey, according to his bio:

At the age of nine, Stephen joined the Southern gospel music singing ministry started by his family over 60 years ago.  The Fincher’s produce their own music and have recorded many projects and has performed over 2,000 events all over the Southeast.
So I'm sure that he was paying attention to Jesus talking about the poor and all.  But then, maybe he's like Chris Christie and just like the music and ignored the lyrics....

The thing that bothers me most about the new GOP is how down on America they are. How they talk about things that have no relationship to reality. All in the name of making sure that the people at the top do very well. ~ V.P. Joe Biden
