  •  I don't think GZ claimed his head ... (0+ / 0-)

hit the sidewalk that many times, just that his head hit the surface beneath him that many times.  For some of the struggle, we know they were off in the grass.  GZ even stated that he twisted and turned in his attempts to get his head away from the sidewalk; being successful doesn't mean the fight and slamming stopped right then.

into the concrete at the moment he decided to pull his gun and shoot. He said he thought he was going to pass out (as if to indicate that time was limited). He said he thought his head was going to explode. None of that coincides with where Trayvon's body was found, several feet from the concrete. So we don't have to concern ourselves with whether Z's injuries are consistent with being slammed into concrete. We just have to decide whether his tale is consistent with self-defense; fear of imminent death or great bodily harm.
