Okay, so maybe we don't know exactly where the pipeline will go, and there's a possibility, kinda strong actually, that the pipeline won't be airtight, but some well-connected people could make a shitload of money! That's gotta count for something.

Isn't it interesting that the U.S. doesn't have to compete with Canadian concerns about this pipeline? Just like Oregon doesn't appear to be in any competition with Washington or California about the siting of an LNG terminal. Usually when Oregon has to go head-to-head with Washington, the Evergreen Staters just say "Boeing," and voila! They get whatever goodies are being contemplated. Likewise, California sends a few A-list celebrities to whisper sweet nothings to the job creators, and hey presto! the Golden State is first in line for the revenue stream.

Oregon is the poor relation on the left coast, but doggone it if we don't have to fight Washington or California for this terminal, which we are assured is super desireable. And the U.S. doesn't seem to have to battle some Canadian entrepreneur (or, as they say in Quebec, "entrepreneur") for the right to lay some pipe through the nation's breadbasket.

Very odd, that. Almost as if the Canadians know something we don't.
