    I would be more than willing to trade my US citizenship in exchange for spending the rest of my life in the UK.

    I absolutely loved the 3.5 years that I spent in Bracknell, Berkshire.

    I left the UK in 1980 and I've missed Bracknell ever since then.

    The only trouble with retirement is...I never get a day off!

      me....until they changed the county lines, my bits would still have been in Berks.

      I have wonderful memories of those years, although I also lived in East Anglia, I will always prefer the rolling hills "out west".  

      It has changed, tremendously over the years, as everything does.  But it is still possible to find places where time has stood still in the best ways, and moved on gently.

      There will always be a longing in me to go "home."

      We cannot call ourselves a civilised society if we refuse to protect the weakest among us.
