  •  She better cause some heartburn among fellow Dems (33+ / 0-)

Fellow "Dems" like Chuck Schumer and Jon Tester and Mark Pryor and Dianne Feinstein are so in the pocket of Wall Street that Sen. Warren had better be giving them collective agita.

Pissants like Politico hacks and the Globe's business columnist had better hope they don't catch her attention, lest they get the CNBC treatment.  Everybody who's already a fan of Warren knows what shills most of the Beltway press are.  They'd better hope her plain-spoken style doesn't enlighten a lot more people to their shillery.  Hack "journalists" are already widely despised.  The best way for them to reach House Republican-level contempt among the populace is for them to tangle with somebody like Warren.

Ask the Globe's publishers how they'd like their paper to pick a fight with the state's senior senator.

ensconced in power for the forseeable future.  If the 2008 crash couldn't unseat them, it's unlikely that one righteous senator can.  If by some miracle we get a few more dozen Warrens in the senate, then the beltway tools will just start saying they supported financial sector reform all along.  They will remain in power and keep busy watering down reforms and creating consensus around an agenda for the 1%.

In general, people may question the boat, but the ocean is simply accepted as an act of God.  Most Americans meekly submit to the media because they cannot conceive of it being entirely wrong.  They will nitpick here and there, maybe dislike certain personalities, but for the most part the public accepts the broad strokes of the picture painted by the corporate media.  Alternatively, some accept botique realities that are even more hostile to Warren, but these alternate realities are always less threatening to the believers (everyone else is to blame, if only "they" weren't around then America would return to greatness, etc.).  The ugly truth is too menacing to watch unfold on the TV machine so it's never going to be the mainstream.

Wall street, like the fossil fuel industry, "buys" both sides so things go their way all the time.

As I've said many times, until we get the money out of our politics and elections, we'll have no real change.

There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.
