Do I think that the NSA spying is a violation of our rights, should be reined in, monitored, and transparent. Hell yes.

Do I totally agree with how Snowden and Greenwald have handled this?  Nope.

Do I totally disagree with some of their actions? nope.

But there's an element here that has thrown out a standard that Snowden and Greenwald must be considered heroes or and if that is not an opinion one has then they must condone the spying, too.

That's bullshit and it has alienated a lot of folks who want to participate in actively doing something to fight this.

Again, show me links to comments where I have said it's okay.

    •  I have no links to you saying its okay (0+ / 0-)

      Nor did I say that.
You have shown a dislike for the topic. Your most recent reply to kos' statement was an example of that. This diary is another.

I'm not going to go further into it with you. I believe you are frustrated and lashed out with this diary.
I told you how I felt about it and provided an example of why I felt that way.
Further discussion, based on my past experience in these diaries, will be fruitless and a waste of both yours and my time.

This is precisely the view that calls into question your true feelings on the matter:

But there's an element here that has thrown out a standard that Snowden and Greenwald must be considered heroes or and if that is not an opinion one has then they must condone the spying, too.
Why does it raise questions? Because this is a complete exaggeration, one commonly used by those trying to distract from the issue by creating an imaginary legion of "purity" enforcers based on nothing more than selective recollection. Since you're calling for links, perhaps you'd care to provide some that substantiate this claim, yourself?

      As for this:

That's bullshit and it has alienated a lot of folks who want to participate in actively doing something to fight this.
The only people it's alienated are those who place more weight on the messengers than on the message. People who want to do something about this ISSUE aren't easily run off, they're participating in these diaries in a manner that isn't focused on demonizing Snowden and Greenwald. Or making fun of them.
