Oh wait he didn't get his gun back yet

altercation so you cannot say "no one attacked him" - and Zimmerman's self-serving account was never cross-examined. He can spend the rest of his life playing Corey Booker, but the best thing he could possibly do right now to atone for what he did was just tell the truth about that night - and show some remorse.
Only he can shut up the right wing outrage machine that has demonized Trayvon Martin - adding immeasurably to the pain and suffering of not just the Martin family but millions of African Americans.
Now that would be truly heroic and he will never do it. The rest of us (of all backgrounds) can only hope that one or other of possible lawsuits forces this menace to the stand and unravels his actions that night for all to see.

    •  Doesn't need that gun. Some rightwing group is (0+ / 0-)

raising funds to buy him a new gun, until he gets the old one back from the feds, which he can then auction off on EBay for megabucks, and buy trillions of even newer, black-teen killing machines.

Or, maybe he'll just keep the old gun for his "hunting" collection.  Either way, it's a huge money-maker for him.
