  •  Cheers, from Clifton Springs, NY! (18+ / 0-)

Cheers to a street that lives up to its name- Pleasant Street, where homes with complex and beautiful gardens are the rule and most every house has one.
Jeers to a pulled right shoulder that will not self-correct, causing a stiff neck and frequent headaches. Heading to the doc in a few minutes to get my 'scrip for needles for my levamir pens. Will make an appt. then.
Jeers to jumping through hoops. I paid off my bill to said doctor a couple of months ago and three days ago, my wife's bennies card that I used says it isn't paying until I supply an itemized bill, which I'm pretty sure I did.
Cheers to temps only in the 60s today so I can go home and mow my lawn without dehydration and Jeers to pushing a mower with a painful shoulder. Keeps the missus happy however.
Oh, yes, Clifton Springs. Cheers to GGSon#1 and his lovely wife getting away on vacation. I'm watching the house, 4 cats and one small doggie. I took vacation time to do this.
Jeers that I have yet taken the opportunity the solitude affords to add chapters to my long-neglected novel. I'd skip tomorrow's ballgame, but an old high school friend will be there and I want to visit.
Cheers to two concerts two nights in a row. Friday night was Furthur, which was wonderful! They covered George Harrison's "If You Don't Know Where You're Going, Any Road Will Take You There". The skies opened up, I had sat right through my umbrella chair, permanently busting it, and I got soaked. So I took leave from my friend about 20 minutes before the venue closed the concert down due to lightning danger. (Outdoor show.) I told my friend I would see him the next night, same place for, Cheers, Steely Dan, who laid down the law and broke it. I LOVE Steely Dan and they never fail to deliver any performance less than great. Saturday night, they were jaw-droppingly fan-frickin-tastic.
Do not miss, I say, do not miss Steely Dan if they come to a venue near you.
Jeers that I gotta split now and leave the kiddie pool having scarcely got my feet wet. But not being one to leave on a negative note:
Cheers to BiPM, his honey and all the cootie pillars, er, kiddie poolers, just because.
