for her to do anything significant that goes against this president or his policies or appointments. She may do some token protest, but this is MSNBC after all.

MSNBC is to the White House/Dem Party. I will be shocked if they have anything negative to say about Summers appointment to the Fed, or Ray Kelly's to DHS, if either come to pass.

Send this to Rachel. She seems to be the major journalist to take on the dirty, hard core issues. She has GUTS.

that and even tho I don't get that channel, I see a lot of her stuff posted and every link I've seen posted seems to have overlooked her gutty reporting on anything other than shiny social issues that don't take a cent from, or shine a light upon, tptb.

Yes she is on mainstream media, aka corporate news, so it would reach a lot more of the ill informed but if  Amy Goodman had that time slot we would have real guts in the broadcast booth and I think if anyone on MSNBC gives it any real scrutiny it will be Chris Hayes.

Last Friday (july 19th) Democracy Now! was talking about this

Report: Obama Considering Summers for World Bank Helm

President Obama is reportedly considering nominating his former top economic adviser, Lawrence Summers, to head the World Bank. Bloomberg News reports Summers has expressed interest in replacing Robert Zoellick when Zoellick’s term expires next year. Summers resigned as director of the White House National Economic Council in 2010. His key role under President Obama drew controversy because of Summers’s close ties to Wall Street and his backing of deregulatory polices during his previous White House stint with the Clinton administration.

I've followed that show for years and watch it daily (online) for news and great guests and for those that don't know about it...
