    First female fed chair, sure.

    But we've already had a couple of femaile Secretaries of State.
    More than a couple of female Supreme Court Justices.
    A female CEO of eBay.
    Multiple femaile governors, not to mention assorted Congress critters.
    UN Ambassador.

    Doctor, baker, candlestick maker.
    Oprah was reported to have been a woman, though she may have transcended mere humanity.
    Astronaut (not to mention Cosmonaut, Taikonaut)
    UFC martial artist.
    Indy race driver.
    Serial killer.

    I'd like to think that, by now, the historic significance of Yellen getting the job is that there's another name in the table of Fed chairs on Wikipedia.
