Next time someone says they are just the two wings of the corporate establishment, remember that it's only one of them that wants another Middle East war and only one of them that wants to destroy female autonomy.

Freedom isn't free. Patriots pay taxes.

There is majority support in BOTH parties for intervention in Syria & for military action against Iran. Yes, he may be pandering for the sake of re-election, but still, if Sen. Graham's resolution on Iran were to come to a vote, it would no doubt pass by a lopsided margin. Less than 2 months ago, the Senate Armed Services Committee voted 15-3 in favor of intervention in Syria, in spite of the fact that the American people have no desire for another Middle Eastern war, in spite of the huge potential costs, in spite of the potential geopolitical consequences. Right now, the only thing keeping us out of Syria is President Obama's reluctance to get involved.

I'm not arguing that there is NO difference between the 2 parties, or that elections are inconsequential, but it's important to remember that within America's foreign policy establishment - no matter which party holds the presidency or the majority in the houses of Congress - the bias is ALWAYS in favor of war.
