    funding by 33%.  It actually increased funding but limited the amount of semesters during which one could receive it to 12 semesters instead of 18.

    As a former Pell Grant recipient, I really don't see the purpose in it, tbh, as you generally only get Pell Grant funding for your first bachelor's degree anyway and it has the potential to cause problems for part-time students.

    It's a silly idea, imo, because it has the potential to punish students who, for example, take part-time summer semesters or who can't afford to attend more than part-time, but it does not mean that Pell Grant funding was cut.

    That being said, neither party represents my view on public education, as I believe that every citizen should have the right to attend a public university and get an associate's or bachelor's degree without having to pay for tuition.
