He's been accused of multiple sexual crimes in Sweden, which wants to talk to him as part of it's investigation,
    Indeed.

And he has repeatedly offered to meet Swedish prosecutors at a time of their choosing. It's not like they don't know where he is.

Swedish prosecutors routinely travel abroad to interview witnesses and suspects, but they appear to have developed a sudden aversion to London.

    Perhaps it's the weather.

I hope that the quality of debate will improve,
but I fear we will remain Democrats.

Subject to any matters said by him, which undermine my present view that he should be indicted, an indictment will be launched with the court thereafter. It can therefore be seen that Assange is sought for the purpose of conducting criminal proceedings and that he is not sought merely to assist with our enquiries.
Yes, police investigators travel to gather information.  But given that they already have a court ruling of probable case, they're well beyond that.  The goal is to indict (åtala) him.  One cannot be indicted remotely.  So the suggestion by Assange is purely a red herring.

Yes, I believe that was their response to the criticism, when they were challenged over their initial refusal to go see him because they thought it beneath their dignity.

I am not doing this with you.

That was in the documentation submitted along with the EAW when it was issued - aka, the start of the process in the UK.

You can do whatever you want.  But I'll continue to correct misinformation.
