    Then say Diary Title.
Then go back to July 2011

You won't find many 'smart' diaries by those that are saying this diary is so stupid and wrong.  You will find some Bojo authors and a few deleted diaries.

One thing I've noticed since wandering into this discussion months ago is how reactive and overly sensitive many on the pro-gun side seem to be.  They take any questioning of the virtue of their coveted firearms as a gross indignity and affront to freedom itself, they descend like a gang upon anyone who upsets them and unload.  They seem like exactly the type of person who shouldn't own a gun, and yet they seem to covet them more than any other thing.  I'm sure that, as in most public forums, the most vocal are not representative of the majority, but they also seem to be the same people buying all the guns.  Oh well, just try to stay safe and avoid the George Zimmermans and all the other legally-endorsed, armed vigilantes out there.  If you choose to engage them, I guess you are just asking for what they dish out.  It is, after all, all about their self defense, and this includes their feelings and self-image apparently.

HR for community and, my words, using an HR for vengeance.  I have seen many HRable comments from their own group blithely skipped over and someone makes a remark with a shade too much sarcasm get taken literally and get hammered by all available HR's.

I wonder if HRs will even be in the next version of Dkos. I find them totally confusing. And mostly used in ways that I find disturbing.

Any time I've seen them legitimately used,  the comment already has two and thereby, you know, hidden.  Anything more is a pile-on.  Most of the time, it's just insecure users punishing other users who have differing viewpoints.  Just like with guns, I think most people are insufficiently mature enough to use the hide-rate option properly, so they should either be entrusted to fewer people or eliminated entirely.  Just my opinion, though.  I wonder if the impact of a user's HR goes down after they've thrown their 50th or so petty one.  That would be interesting.

those. It has always been pointed out to me that it is happening. So I use mine then. It has been a while.

I think there was one in the gun diaries recently. That was posting that all guns should be banned, Mollygolly, or something like that. I think that user is probably bojo now. I thought it was just mistaken but no, and it got more and more vehement that all guns should be banned. I think more than 2 were thrown.

I think that is the only HR I ever used in the gun battles.
