    Picky, picky, picky.

    •  I am a burnt out petitioner (0+ / 0-)

          who has gathered thousands of initiative signatures since the early 1980s. To me the difference isn't just academic; petitioning is hard work. If you can get the Lege to put something on the ballot (or pass it themselves) it is a lot easier than getting over a half million sigs statewide.

           In California the initiative process is the fourth branch of state government so it is an important distinction. Your mileage may vary...
