    to presidential politics, and that's because of philadelphia and pittsburgh. The state house and senate have long been red because we have vast swaths of sparsely populated, backwards thinking counties that would give Alabama a run for its money in terms of ideology. When dem turnout is low, as it was in 2010, we get Corbett and Toomey. Fortunately, Toomey's seat is up during in the 2016 presidential race, and many, many are hating on Corbett for things that are in the scheme of things minor (his role as AG in the Penn State investigation for example), but it might be enough to bring him down if the dems can run a decent candidate.
