    the city bankrupt is obscene.  And the openness in announcing the intent to do so is (and should be) an affront to anyone who believes that trust is the basis of good government.  We are seeing this in state after state that has fallen under the Republican ideologues who now run them and behave as though they own them and the citizens do NOT.  These people can never be trusted and need to be repudiated and thrown out of office ASAP.

      ...Robbing average people to subsidize rich sports team owners with new arenas is the ultimate in obscenity. Dictator Rick Snyder and his Detroit puppet rulers must all be thrown under the bus by voters and his plans rejected en masse. If he likes to be a dictator that much, Snyder should try to live life in a place like North Korea instead of imposing his will down the throats of Detroiters and Michiganders as a whole.
