    It isn't a new conspiracy to poison us and then sell us the antidote.  That's already the established business model :)

    However, hypertension and obesity are already chronic problems that drive huge market share, so this is not going to significantly increase the business opportunity for anti-hypertensives and diet pills.  It's simply cheaper way to bulk up the animals before you send them to market.  Profit!
