great lake states.   Once upon a time, MI had an average annual wage higher many other states.   Just how much do you think acreage and a cabin costs in the northern woods of MI?

Begrudging any unnecessary perks to the middle class is so Republican.  People on food stamps shouldn't be able to buy pop, and middle class factory workers shouldn't be allowed to own a cabin or make enough money to invest in their families and futures.   Only  Obama should be allowed vacations, and his is entitled to cost 60 million of our tax dollars bcause.  But giving tax breaks to the middle class - where's is that pee cup.

you will devastate the vacation economies in many states.  MI gets a whole 3 months of summer.   People up north have to make their money for the entire year during that time.   Exceptions are Charlevoix, Arbor Springs and communities that summer the uber rich who come in from Chicago.

price of lake cabins and make them more affordable and even provide some to rent.  I live in MN and it's a standard joke that the only way you can afford lake property is to inherit it and all those cute little cabins that were around when I was growing up are turning into 7 or 8 figure permanent second homes.

I attended a class a year ago on wills and trusts and the attorney says the biggest source of family feuds in MN are over the inheritance of lake property and I've got cousins who are going through this right now.
