All I'm doing is showing you how wrong you are about the cop getting justice in this case. Just like you were wrong about the jury composition not mattering or jury not having anything to do with the punishment for the shooter.  You're just way off on this.  Did you hear about the guy who cops just shot in his own drive way here in Florida recently? Another unarmed black guy? Shot because cops thought he was up to no good in his own driveway. If these twerps could shoot, this dude would be dead.

      Here's synopsis:

Smoking almost killed Roy Middleton when he was allegedly fired upon by police as he searched for a loose cigarette in a car parked in his own driveway in Warrington, Fla. Apparently, someone had seen him rooting around in his mother's vehicle and, thinking he was a thief, called the cops. Middleton, 60, said he was bent over in the car when Escambia County deputies told him to "get your hands where I can see them." Middleton alleges he slowly backed away from the vehicle but police unloaded the moment he turned around.

"It was like a firing squad," he told the Pensacola News Journal. "Bullets were flying everywhere." Middleton was shot in the leg and described his mom's car as "full of bullet holes."

The Escambia County Sheriffs Office declined to comment on Saturday's incident.

While the Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the matter, the deputies, who have not been publicly identified, have been put on paid administrative leave.

      •  i heard about that (0+ / 0-)

        sounds like bad police work.

first if they shoot, they should be shooting to kill.
sending bullets everywhere is a sign of terrible training.

second, they took a poor tactical approach, if the guy is rooting around in a car,i'ts unlikely he's going to be
        able to shoot at you.

now, from what i saw, his son lives there who has a record
as a drug dealer and previous shootings, so the police
may have been expecting the son, and were ready on hair triggers.

but, bad police work can just be bad police work.
