knowing that the real criminals are not dressed in hoodies and baggy jeans. Those with criminal intent who are dressed in hoodies and doing the duckwalk so as to accommodate their sagging jeans are a headache. Don't get me wrong. They are more often than not a menace to themselves and others who look like them. But they are not the worst the society have to deal with.
The criminals who destroy lives, and hopes and dreams - those who all but destroyed the world's economy - are dressed in well laundered three piece suits with matching ties and golden cuff links. They have the latest models of the most expensive cars and yachts and the biggest houses.
You go to watch Fruitvale Station knowing the real history of this country and your heart will feel as if it is breaking into little tiny pieces. The injustice of it all will leave you feeling physically sick.

This is powerful diary and I thank you for it. You were honest and I applaud you.
Forgive me for being just a little bit miffed that you'd need this movie to remove some of scales from your eyes.
I am still raw from having watched it.

Maya Angelou: "Without courage, we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We can't be kind, true, merciful, generous, or honest."
