    I thought there was an obligation for officials working in the justice system to not withhold evidence, especially exculpatory evidence.

    OK, I can understand if clerks aren't required to participate pro-actively in that (not sufficient legal training, etc.), but how do you square judicial fairness with this travesty?

    There are great lawyers, good lawyers, hacks and crooks in the legal profession. To me, the worst of these are the hacks (Judge Byrn I'm looking at you). They're not crooked enough to be caught and removed.

    They just mess up people's lives and gum up the works.
