    in the hunt is fear that if everyone gets access to health insurance, they will have to wait longer to see a doctor...there is apparently a real shortage of primary care doctors in this country. It would be nice if Congress could do something to fix that problem instead using it to create another wedge issue to make health care "haves" fear health care have-nots.

      They've been scared out of their wits by "Death Panels" and other goofball propaganda.

      And the lie that Obamacare will case a shortage of doctors - that's just another lie.

      a study published by the Annals of Family Medicine last year determined, population growth and population aging over the next dozen years will cause 85 percent of the increased need for physicians. Expanded access to medical services offered by the ACA — which we should all agree is a good thing — is responsible for just 15 percent of the shortfall.
      In other words, even if we hadn't reformed the health system to give 30 million previously uninsured people access to timely, economical medical care, we would still need a lot more doctors to care for a country that's getting bigger and older all the time.
