If  their only problem was the drugs being sold to America life would be simple.

    •  I've lived in Mexico (3+ / 0-)

I have a home in Mexico and I've always felt safer there than in the U.S. (until the gun-proliferation from the U.S., anyway).

The cartels are solely interested in money (and their competition) and in bringing their product into the U.S.  This is where the payoff is.  I've never known a Mexican who smoked marijuana or used other drugs.

They can't even afford U.S. cigarettes.  How could they afford marijuana?

Guns don't kill people but there's always one there at the time of death.
